Author’s Talk on “Navigating the Blueprint of a Budding Writer”

The Library and Information Centre, in association with the Research and Development Cell, organised an Author’s Talk on “Navigating the Blueprint of a Budding Writer” on 12th August 2026 at the GD Auditorium of VVM’s G.R. Kare College of Law, Margao-Goa.

The programme commenced with the welcome of the resource person, Mr. Rajkumar Nandrekar. The Vice Principal (Academic), Dr. Shruti Nadkarni, delivered the opening remarks and highlighted the importance of encouraging reading, writing and creative expression among students.

As part of the observance of National Librarians’ Day, a floral tribute was offered to Padmashree Dr. S. R. Ranganathan on the occasion of his 134th birth anniversary. A short video highlighting his life and contributions to Library Science was also screened.

Ms. Rahi Phaldessai, Grade I Librarian, introduced the resource person to the gathering. As a gesture of welcome, a potted plant was presented to Mr. Rajkumar Nandrekar by the Vice Principal (Academic).

The highlight of the programme was the Author’s Talk on “Navigating the Blueprint of a Budding Writer.” Mr. Rajkumar Nandrekar spoke about his journey as a budding author, drawing particularly from his experience of writing and publishing his debut book, The God Complex: An Algorithm’s Attempt to Become God. He elaborated on the process of developing an idea into a written work, the importance of creativity and perseverance, and the challenges encountered during the journey towards publication. His insights offered students a practical understanding of the creative and intellectual processes involved in writing and encouraged them to explore their own potential in reading and creative expression. The Author’s Talk was followed by an interactive session with students. The session provided an opportunity for students to ask questions and gain further insights into writing and authorship.

As a gratitude and appreciation, a Token of Appreciation was presented to Mr. Rajkumar Nandrekar by the Dr. Shruti Nadkarni, Vice Principal for sharing his valuable time, experiences and insights with the students.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem. A group photograph was taken with the resource person, Vice Principal, faculty members and students.
