VVM’s Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, in collaboration with the Election Commission of India and the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Goa, organized a special ‘Electoral Roll Enrolment Camp’ on 22nd November 2024. This initiative aimed to promote voter awareness and facilitate enrolment of eligible students as voters.

The primary goal of the camp was to encourage young voters to exercise their democratic rights and ensure their inclusion in the electoral roll. The initiative reflects the commitment of the college to civic engagement and active citizenship.

The camp was conducted with the support of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for the 31, Margao Assembly Constituency (AC). To ensure the program’s smooth functioning, 7 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were deputed to assist in the enrolment process.

From the 1st Year B.A.LL.B. programme 16 students participated in the camp and successfully enrolled as voters.

Dr. Shruti Nadkarni, Head of Department (HOD), and Mr. S.N. Inavalli, the Nodal Officer for the initiative, oversaw the program. Additionally, one office staff member supported the operations.

The camp concluded successfully with 16 students completing their voter registration. The collaborative efforts of the AERO, BLOs, college staff, and faculty were instrumental in achieving the objectives of the program.
