About the Arbitration & Mediation Centre and Evidence Recording Chamber
In recent times, there has been growth of the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution system as an effective method in dispute resolution in India, thereby further increasing the growing need for the institutionalization of arbitration and mediation. With the objective of facilitating the delivery of speedy and effective justice in mind, G.R Kare College of Law, Margao-Goa that pioneers several student-centric initiatives, has decided to dedicate to the stakeholders an Arbitration and Mediation Centre. Likewise, in view of a rising trend of recording evidence by Commissioners, appointed by the Court, the College has also decided to facilitate this process by means of an Evidence Recording Chamber.
Through the Arbitration and Mediation Centre, the college will offer its good offices for Arbitration and/or Mediation, which will serve as a conducive platform for the arbitrators, mediators and concerned parties to these procedures. So also, through the Evidence Recording Chamber, the Commissioners appointed by the Court would be provided with facilities required in this regard. In both cases, the place will be available for hire at reasonable rates, with prior booking of the respective requirement.
Importantly, with the approval of hirers, students of the College would get tremendous opportunities to witness arbitral and mediation proceedings and the nuances of evidence recording, including as secretarial staff.
