Master Class in Labour Law – “Occupational Safety and Health: Understanding the ESI Framework”

G. R. Kare College of Law, in association with the Labour Law Club of the College, organised a Master Class in Labour Law on the topic: Occupational Safety and Health: Understanding the ESI Framework in Smart Class, on 12^th September,2026 from 9: 15 to 10: 15 am

The Resource person was Dr Jagdish Anil Cacodcar, Professor & Head, Department of Community Medicine, Goa Medical College (GMC).

Ms Skyla Barreto, a TYLLB (Degree) student, was the compere for the programme.

The Resource Person in his address, informed the students that protecting the welfare of labourers in every sector of society is of utmost importance. He dealt with the provisions of the OSH Code, 2020, which has amalgamated 13 previously existing Labour codes from the perspective of Occupational Health and Safety. He also underlined the crucial provisions of the ESI Act.
