Blood Donation Camp at GRKCL

The NSS Unit & MoU Partner Rotary Club of Margao Midtown, in association with the Medical Law Club, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp on 20 August 2026 in the Seminar Room from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Hospicio Hospital (South Goa District Hospital).

The programme commenced with the registration and medical screening of volunteers. More than 40 students enthusiastically came forward to participate in the camp. After the mandatory health screening, some volunteers were found ineligible to donate due to medical reasons, resulting in a total of 15 successful blood donations. Dr. Rawin Rego and the Blood Bank staff ensured that all screening and blood collection procedures were carried out safely and professionally. The event was supported by Rotary Club Margao Midtown through the presence of its President, Mr. Rajiv Fernandes, and club member Ms. Harriet.

The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Vice Principal Dr. Goretti Simoes. NSS Programme Officer Asst. Prof. Harshad Bandodkar, along with NSS faculty members  Asst. Prof. Rozena Correa, Asst. Prof.. Ruby Luis, Asst. Prof.. Yamini J Dalvi, and Asst. Prof. Shrini Naik Desai along with faculty members of Medical Law club Ms Priyanka Raut Dessai and Ms Akanksha Gehlot   coordinated the event and ensured its smooth execution. As a mark of appreciation for the college’s contribution towards voluntary blood donation, Hospicio Hospital (South Goa District Hospital) presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the college during the programme.
