Workshop on Entrepreneurship ‘Role of women in the entrepreneurship arena’

On the occasion of the Celebration of International Womens’ week,  a workshop on the “Role of Women in the entrepreneurship Arena” was held on the 7th of March 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Institution. The resource person for the workshop was Ms. Sneha Bhandare  who is an architect by profession, she co-founded the brand ‘NIRVANA’, owner of Boawich and chai coffee café and the President of omeiga Seiki mobility.

The session commenced with the welcome by the compere(s) followed by the formal welcome by  Officiating Principal, Dr. Maria Goretti Simoes. The resource person was introduced by Asst. Professor and faculty in charge of the entrepreneurship cell, Ms. Rozena Correia.

The resource person highlighted her journey in detail, explaining how she went from making a cake for a couple in lockdown to owning her own café and restaurant.  After sharing entire journey and experiences she began with some life lessons such as how important it is to be on time and have a routine fixed for yourself. She gave a very powerful message at the end saying ‘one should never hesitate to ask for help’.

The resource person was given a token of gratitude and appreciation by Ms. Merville Rodrigues, Asst.Professor and member of the Entrepreneurship cell and Women’s cell. The session was concluded by a vote of thanks by Asst Professor Niharika Chari thanking the resource person, faculty incharge and all those who participated in the session.
