WEBINAR ON “GIRL CHILD- NUTRITION, RIGHTS AND WELFARE”
The webinar on “Girl Child- Nutrition, Rights and Welfare” was organized by NSS Unit of Govind Ramnath Kare College, Margao in association with its IQAC, Women’s Cell, Child Rights Cell and Center for Counseling and Wellness Management of Govind Ramnath Kare College, Margao. It was conducted on Monday, 25th of January 2022 at 12.30 p.m. Ms. Akanksha Gehlaut, Asst. Prof. began the webinar with the quote ‘ When girls are educated their country becomes more stronger and more prosperous’, she introduced the theme of the webinar “Girl Child- Nutrition, Rights and Welfare”.
Dr. Minelly Rodrigues, Assistant Professor, Department of Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan, was the first resource person for the webinar enlightened the NSS volunteers on ‘Nutrition for Girl Child’.
Ms. Ruby Luis, Asst. Professor and in-charge of the NSS Unit highlighted ‘The legal rights of the Girl Child’, Ms. Yamini Dalvi, Assistant Professor and member of the NSS Unit spoke on ‘Educational rights of the Girl Child’ Ms. Merville Rodrigues, Assistant Professor and member of the NSS Unit spoke about ‘The government schemes and policies for the Girl Child’, Ms. Archana Kurtarkar, College Counsellor spoke on ‘Physical and psychological hygiene for Girl Child’.
The webinar ended at 2.15 with the vote of thanks by Ms. Akshada F. Dessai, Asst. professor and Member of NSS Unit. 72 NSS Volunteers attended the Webinar.
