VVM’S GRKCL HOSTS YOUTH CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY DIALOGUE FOR CHANGE ON “VISION 2047”
VVM’s Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), organized the Youth Constituent Assembly Dialogue for Change on the theme “Vision 2047.” The event aimed to engage students in critically exploring the Indian Constitution’s role in shaping the nation’s future.The program began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and a warm welcome by the Principal, followed by an address by Chief Guest Mr. Bhushan Savaikar, Director of DHE and an alumnus of the college. Highlighting the importance of practical constitutional knowledge, Mr. Savaikar encouraged students to embrace sustainable development and prioritize societal well-being.
The sessions featured expert speakers, including Dr. Pradeep Sarmokadam, who emphasized environmental conservation and biodiversity, Dr. Venugopal Rao, who explored the impact of technology on constitutional amendments, and Mr. Abhishek Mishra, who focused on decolonizing India’s legal system.
Students presented their visionary drafts on topics such as digital privacy, AI in governance, sustainable development, and human rights education, which were evaluated by judges Advocate Yatish Naik and Ms. Twiggy Fernandes. Narayan Zantye College of Commerce emerged as the winners, with Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce as runners-up.
The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony where Advocate Yatish Naik highlighted the evolving nature of the Constitution and its enduring relevance. The program celebrated 75 years of the Constitution, inspiring students to envision a future guided by equity, sustainability, and innovation.
