Commemoration of Goa Revolution Day at GRKCL
Political Science Academium of VVM’s Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Margao-Goa commemorated Goa Revolution Day on 22nd June 2024. The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. Sushila Sawant Mendes, Professor and Author in History, and recipient of Best Teacher Award for Excellence in Higher Education. The chief guest highlighted the Importance of Goa Revolution Day in relation to the Liberation Movement and Inspiring journey and contributions of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia in the Goa Liberation Stuggle along with Goan freedom fighters namely, Juliao Menezes, T. B. Cunha, Purushottam Kakodkar, Laxmikant Bhembre, Jeevan Karapurkar, Vatsala kirtani and she also mentioned about the various revolts against colonial powers that took place in various parts of Goa like Cuncolim revolt, Rane revolt etc.
The Officiating Principal Dr. Maria Goretti Simoes welcomed the gathering and Faculty in-charge S. N. Inavalli proposed the Vote of thanks.
