Collaborative Teaching Session on Law of Property
On Monday, the 27th of March 2023, Assistant Professor Afshan Bi engaged a collaborative teaching session for the First Year LL.B. Degree students along with Assistant Professor Ruby Zenilda Luis. The session was engaged in classroom number 1 in the annex building on the first floor of G. R. Kare College of Law.
The topic covered at the session was “Right of Redemption” under the Transfer of Property Act, 1882. Assistant Professors Afshan Bi and Assistant Professor Ruby Luis began the session at 11:20 am, discussing the concept of Mortgage. Assistant Professors Afshan Bi explained the Right of Redemption, she explained the concept with the help of various illustrations. She explained Clog on redemption and gave various examples and explained the concept with important case laws. The students were interactive and answered questions posed by the faculty making the session lively and interesting.
The aim of the collaborative session was to enlighten the students about the Right of Redemption and the clog of redemption under the Transfer of property Act, 1882.
55 students of the First year LL.B. Degree were present for the collaborative session.
